ICPM 2022

Welcome to the “International Conference on Physics in Medicine (ICPM-2022)” to be held on 26-27 May 2022, organized by the Bangladesh Medical Physics Association (BMPA), the Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology, University of Dhaka and Bangladesh Atomic Energy Center (BAEC), Dhaka. The inauguration ceremony will be taken place at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building of the University of Dhaka.
BMPA regularly organizes seminars and conferences those are recognized by International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP) and Asia-Oceania Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (AFOMP).
The primary purpose of this conference is to provide a world-class platform to accumulate and exchange innovative ideas, latest research and unique experiences related to Physics in medicine.
Physics in Medicine is generally speaking the application of Physics concept, theories and methods in medicine or healthcare including life threatening cancer disease treatment.
For the last thirty years, significant progress has been seen in cancer diagnostics with the advancement of Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The developments in imaging technologies have enabled us in great manner for cancer treatment planning and cure. These technologies assisted us to be more precise that lead to higher cure rates and sparing healthy tissues at the same time.
Therefore, we are expecting that eminent scientists, academicians, industrialists, researchers, from both national and international level, will embellish and enrich the conference along with their fruitful research outcomes and experience.
In the conference, all aspects of Physics in medicine including Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology and Imaging, Health Physics, Radiation Protection, Biophysics, Radiobiology, Biomedical Engineering, Telemedicine, Emerging Physics Techniques in Medicine, Education & Training in Medical Physics will be given preference.
So, on behalf of BMPA, it is an honor and a great opportunity to invite all prospective researchers to attend the conference by submitting their original research work to ICPM-2022.
